Seqster Privacy Policy
(Last Updated June 21, 2024)
Seqster PDM is a company that wants to make sure your personal information is safe and wants to inform you how it's used. The privacy policy tells you what Seqster does with your information when you visit their website or use their services. The policy explains when Seqster collects, protects, shares, and uses personal information that can identify you as an individual, like your name, email, phone number, address, and birthdate. Personal information does not include anonymous, combined information that we can no longer use to identify you as an individual.
Make sure you read this privacy policy before you use our website or services. If you use our website or services, it means you agree to follow this policy. This policy is part of the terms for using Seqster's website and services. Words in this policy that aren't defined will have the same meaning as in the terms.
This policy only covers Seqster's privacy practices. Seqster is not responsible for other technology platforms' privacy policies and practices.
Please note that you still own any personal health information you upload to Seqster or ask Seqster to get from other parties. Even though your health information may be stored on Seqster's servers, Seqster will not use or share your Health Data except as stated in this policy.
Information You Provide to Seqster
We get personal information, including health information, from you when you give it to us. For example, when you create an account, import your health data to Seqster, or contact us with questions.
Information We Collect Automatically
Information about how you use the website. Seqster may collect information about the website's use, such as the browser type, device, operating system, and the pages you visit. We use this information to understand what people like and find important so we can make the website better for you.
Device Identifiers. Seqster also automatically collects an IP address or a unique code for your computer, phone, or other devices to access the website and the services. A "Device Identifier" is a unique code that is automatically given by the device manufacturer and sent to our servers when you use them. Your internet service provider automatically gives your computer or router an IP address and sends it to our servers when you use them. We use IP addresses and Device Identifiers for different things, like managing the website, helping fix problems with our servers, analyzing trends, tracking user movement, preventing theft and fraud, and getting general information about how many people use the website.
Session Trackers. When we operate the website and the services, we may use cookies and similar technologies (called "Session Trackers") to help provide more features on the website and the services, improve your experience, and help us study how people use the services. We (and other companies we work with) may place Session Trackers on your device for security, to make navigating the website smoother, and to improve your experience while using our services.
You can choose not to accept Session Trackers when you use the website or the services. To do this, follow the instructions provided by your website or phone browser. These instructions are usually found in the "Help," "Tools," or "Edit" section. If you disable Session Trackers, you might be unable to use some parts of the services, and some features might not work correctly. So, we recommend that you keep Session Trackers turned on when you use the services because they help you take advantage of some of the features of the services.
Non-Personal Information
We may change or combine personal information in a way that doesn't identify you or anyone else, and it's no longer considered "personal information." We may use this non-personal information like general statistics, information about groups of people, analysis, and information about how the website is used for any legal reason.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for specific purposes related to our website and services.
We may mix information about you that we collect online, through mobile apps, and from third-party sources.
Some examples of how we may use your personal information include the following:
- Answering your questions or fixing problems you report (like if you contact us with a question or problem with the services, we may use the personal information you give us to answer your question or fix the problem);
- Making the website and services better, more valuable, and more attractive;
- Studying how people use the website and services for research and improving our messages to you;
- Giving you notices and updates about the website or services;
- Setting up your account settings;
- Talking to you about your account and/or use of the services; and
- Sending you marketing or promotional materials.
- Email Communications. We may use your personal information to send you marketing or promotional emails. If you don't want to get these types of emails anymore, you can follow the instructions in any email to stop receiving them. Please note that if you opt out, we may not be able to tell you about offers that interest you. We may take up to ten business days to process your request. If you opt out of getting emails or promotions from us, we may still send you emails about your account, any products or services you've requested or received from us, or for customer service reasons.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Seqster will not give your personal information, including health information, to others without your permission.
Data Retention and Account Closure
At Seqster, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can close your account at any time through our web interface. This approach aligns with our commitment to transparency and compliance with data protection regulations.
Third-Party Compliance with Our Privacy Policy
We may share your information with trusted third-party partners for various purposes, including to provide services or perform functions on our behalf. We require all third parties with whom we share your information to adhere to the same data protection and privacy standards set forth in this Privacy Policy. By using our Website and services, you consent to sharing your information with these third parties, provided that they comply with our Privacy Policy. We will not be responsible or liable for any third party's actions or omissions that deviate from the requirements of this Privacy Policy, but we encourage you to report any non-compliance to us so we can take appropriate measures.

Your trust is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring a prompt, transparent, and compliant response to any data breach inquiries.
Business transfers
Suppose we sell or buy assets or change our business in other ways. In that case, we may share or transfer your personal information, including Health Data and additional information about how you use our website and services, to the entity that acquires us. We will tell you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. At that time, you can delete certain personal information, including Health Data, associated with your account or close your account. If you decide to keep using our website or services, your personal information will still be protected by this policy until we update or change this policy.
Legal disclosures
We may share or transfer your personal information, including health information and other information about how you use our website and services, to other people if the law requires it or when it's necessary to protect someone's safety or property.
With your explicit permission, we may share your personal information, including health information, with others if you tell us to.
Seqster may link your healthcare provider accounts to get more information about you, like your health data. We may ask for your login information from those other accounts to do this. By linking your account, you are allowing Seqster to access your information from those other accounts and allowing those other companies to share your information with us. We will only use this information to improve your experience on our website or apps. We will not share or disclose your health data or any other information from those other accounts with anyone else unless you tell us to.
You have the ability to verify, delete, edit and download any of your Personal Information collected through the Website, by simply logging into your profile. We may delete some records with your personal information, including your health data. We also do not keep your personal information forever and are not responsible if your information gets deleted. We will keep your personal information as long as you have an account with us or as long as we need it to provide you with services, follow the law, solve any problems, or follow our agreements. You can stop using your account by contacting us at info@seqster.com. When you do this, we will remove your personal information from our website and services, but some data backups may still exist for a short period. Seqster may still use your non-identifiable data after you deactivate your account.
Seqster is taking steps to protect your personal information, including your health data, from being accessed by unauthorized people. The measures include using strong encryption and keeping your information on separate servers. They also limit who can access your information to only those who need it to provide you with products or services. However, they cannot guarantee that your information will be completely secure. It is important to protect your account by having a strong password and limiting who can access your device.
Seqster does not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. They also do not track you on other websites for targeted advertising. This policy may be updated from time to time, so it is important to check back and ensure you are familiar with the current version. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, contact Seqster at info@seqster.com.
Potential Risks of Data Sharing
While we strive to protect your personal information and maintain the highest standards of data security, we want to inform you of the potential risks involved in sharing your data. Despite our best efforts, no data transmission or storage system can guarantee complete security. By using our Website and services, you acknowledge that there may be inherent risks in sharing your information, including but not limited to unauthorized access, data breaches, or misuse of your data by third parties. We encourage you to carefully consider the potential consequences before sharing your personal information with us or any third party and to contact us immediately if you have any concerns or questions about the security of your data.
